Ligue de l'enseignement (the frence league of education) Humanist and independent, the Ligue de l’enseignement’s current project is to give lifelong access to education, culture, leisure and sport to everyone as to fully exercise his/her citizenship. The League of Education acts everywhere against inequalities and discriminations to build a fairer, more inclusive society based on secularism as a principle of “living together”. Hundreds of thousands volunteers and thousands of professional enlist everywhere in France within a network of more than 30.000 local associations and various social and solidarity economy organisations. They can find at the Ligue de l’enseignement all the resources, support and training they need to implement and deliver their projects and initiatives. They all reject the spirit of resignation and develop alternatives proving that there are other solution than the « every man for himself » approach. Introductory video UFOLEP The « Union Française des Oeuvres Laïques d'Education Physique »/ « French Union for secular physical activity » (UFOLEP) was founded in 1928 within the Ligue de l’enseignement (League of education), a massive french organisation in charge of non-formal education, to address the needs of a large number of Ligue’s members. First multi-sport affiliated federation in France, UFOLEP has a dual identity and ambition of being a multisport federation and a movement of ideas in the society of today and tomorrow. UFOLEP is a sport federation recognized by the French Ministry of sport and a member of the French National Olympic and Sporting committee (CNOSF). UFOLEP represents: Introductory video USEP L’Union Sportive de l’Enseignement du Premier Degré/ Union for sports in primary education (USEP), a school sport federation, was founded in 1938 within the Ligue de l’enseignement.
